The Transformation of the Pond

25th June 2022

Museum Garden

The renovated pond in the Victorian Garden

If you go down to our pond today

You’re in for a little surprise

Even us volunteers don’t quite believe our eyes

Miss Burgundy Acer spreads her wings

And the tadpoles chase each other around

Bluebells, king cups and snowdrops came and went

Their energy for another year spent.

It was cold, it was wet…and jolly hard work

But sit on the bench, coffee in hand

The renovated dream before you

And all the agony of creation is forgotten!
