The Last Friday of Summer in the Museum Garden

It’s fair to say that the weather has not been very kind to our Last Friday in the Victorian Garden social evenings during 2023. With a distinctly damp feel to June and July’s events, and August’s cancelled due to expected thunderstorms (which did not quite arrive as forecast), we did not have high hopes for September’s final Last Friday of the year. But this time, we were pleasantly surprised by a fine evening. The garden was bedecked with fairy lights and lanterns, and with the gazebo extended by a lovely new awning there was plenty of space to enjoy the variety of curries and side dishes prepared by the Museum Events Group.

With the coming of autumn, the “Last Friday in the Garden” events will be replaced by our Friday talks at the Parish Rooms, and we hope you will join us on October 20th for “Medieval Women and How to Find Them”.
