Discover some of the history of our unique Georgian town with town guides from the Blandford Civic Society.

Heritage walks, telling the story of the town up to the Georgian rebuilding of the town centre, start from the flood wall in the Marsh & Ham car park behind Morrisons (12th June, 10th July, 7th August, 11th & 18th September).

Perimeter walks of more recent development (26th June, 24th July, 21st August & 25th September), and Geology walks examining the history of the stones making up the town’s architecture (5th June & 28th August), start from Scrivens (Durdens Corner) in the Market Place.

Walks start at 11am, last approximately two hours, and cost £5 per person (except the September Heritage walks which are free of charge as part of Dorset Architectural Heritage Week).
