See locations below
Discover some of the history of our unique Georgian town with town guides from the Blandford Civic Society.

Heritage walks, telling the story of the town up to the Georgian rebuilding of the town centre, start from the flood wall in the Marsh & Ham car park behind Morrisons (7th May, 11th June, 9th July, 6th August, 10th and 17th September).
Perimeter walks of more recent development (21st May, 25th June, 23rd July, 20th August, 24th September), and Geology walks examining the history of the stones making up the town’s architecture, (2nd July, 17th September) start from Scrivens (Durdens Corner) in the Market Place.
The Walks last approximately two hours, and usually cost £5 per person, but those on 10th and 17th September will be free of charge as part of Dorset Architectural Heritage Week.
There’s no need to book, but for more details call 01258 459346 or email niccitab15@gmail.com.
