Blandford Forum Riots 1831 Soundscape

Join Prof. Steve Poole, Dr Roger Ball and Ralph Hoyte for the launch of the Blandford Forum Riots 1831 soundscape: an interactive audio experience which tells this powerful story through a self-guided walk visiting key sites where riotous behaviour took place. You can listen to the call for the Riot Act to be read and to the sound of troops on horseback charging at the rioters.

Participants will be able to download a user-friendly app to their smartphones (with help if needed), or listen to it on a loudspeaker.

The walks will last 40 to 60 minutes, and complement a talk at the Royal British Legion at 11:00 the same day (click here for more information).
