Archaeology Group Lecture: Operation Nightingale Barrow Clump Excavations

Operation Nightingale, established in 2011, is a  military initiative aimed at using archaeology as an aid to the recovery of wounded and injured service personnel. In our November lecture talk, Phil Andrews (Wessex Archaeology) will talk about one of their early excavations, which is one of the largest and best-known projects of Operation Nightingale, focussed on Bronze Age barrows and an Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Barrow Clump on Salisbury Plain.
