Our March lecture will be given by Dorset’s County Archaeologist, Steve Wallis.
The Roman Town House is the only Roman domestic complex within a town that is fully on display in Britain. Steve Wallis will be speaking about the well-preserved archaeology on the site, the history of its discovery and its subsequent management, and particularly the current project to improve access to the site and its interpretation, which is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
