Archaeology Group Lecture: Artificial Intelligence: Finding the Neolithic of Dorset

February’s Archaeology Group lecture will be presented by Alex Horridge from Geotech Research.

The Neolithic in Dorset shaped the landscape in very visible ways, but much of the evidence outside monumental archaeology has yet to be discovered, With changes in planning laws, it is necessary to protect archaeology by predicting sites and better managing Britain’s cultural resources. Alex will describe how his team are helping to solve this issue by using Artificial Intelligence to predict undiscovered Neolithic sites in Dorset.
