Civic Group Activities: Remembering Nordon

The local community fought hard against the proposals to demolish the former home of the Woodhouse family which became the seat of local government in Salisbury Road.

The Museum’s Civic Group is planning to work with Aster Housing to design and erect an interpretation board at what has become Dukes Parade explaining the history of the site so that future residents and visitors know what their homes have replaced.

We are seeking pictures and information about Nordon in its heyday, before it became home to Blandford Rural Borough Council, and subsequently to North Dorset District Council.
